Will vinyl siding withstand high winds?
« on: September 14, 2017, 12:40:56 PM »
In order to take over our 50-year-old family business, me, along with my family are moving to Alberta from Ontario this year.  We have bought an old traditional house. The windows and doors are made of wood and have started rotting. Some of them are even squeaky and produce annoying noise. As I am aware of companies that can scam you big time, I have already gone through most of the window company reviews in the province and have found someone trustworthy. I haven't quoted for their service yet.
I have heard that vinyl siding is best compared to wood, brick or stone with respect to their low maintenance and appearance. What I wanted to ask is that Will Vinyl siding come off in high winds?
I am concerned about this because the place where we have bought our new home is prone to high winds. Will vinyl withstand such conditions?
