Have you ever gotten right to the end of a huge home renovation project, only to think "meh, I think I liked it better before". If so, what did you do about it? :p

I personally haven't been through anything like this, but parents did when I was growing up. They bought a 'fixer-upper' when I was about 14 years old and decided to add a full glass wall with glass sliding doors in the kitchen for a modern touch. The kitchen over looked the back garden, so they thought it would be lovely. Well, they didn't think about the fact that a glass wall with two big, mucky German Shepherds probably wouldn't mix well. They soon regretted that home renovation when the view was always spoiled by muddy paw prints and slobber marks. They didn't want the fuss of re-doing it, so they just left it as is.  :P

Yikes! I'd just be terrified of breaking it! It must have been some very strong, thick glass. Imagine if you had one of those 'knocking a vase over' moments though, where a stray heavy object hits the glass wall and it cracks or shatters. It doesn't bear thinking about!

I regretted not having planned a proper budget for the home renovation project. We made a lot of last minute plans and changes , but that was a thing of the past and a lesson learned. Always have a proper budget before hand and never make any last minute changes.
