Sliding patio door
« on: September 26, 2017, 07:13:54 AM »
Howdy,

I am here to get some opinions. I have a patio opening up from my living room. I and my family use to spend our evenings on the patio.
Yesterday, I found that the sliding patio door has some problems. I think it would be the result of wear and tear and due to lack of proper maintenance. Our patio was built years ago and the door was fine until last week. But now I see that the sliding of the door, lock and the track under the sliding door has got some issues. The lock is very hard to open and I think the whole track needs to be replaced. The patio door glass is misted between panes too. I have contacted one of the patio door manufacturers in Edmonton.

What are the things that I should ask the contractor? Is there any need for replacement? Please share your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

There's no need to replace the whole track just search on the internet and see the ways to repair that patio door lock so don't waste money on hiring any locksmith.

Locksmith have tools through which they operate on these hard locks and open the lock to replace the tracking part.
