Door lock problems in Winter
« on: December 22, 2017, 04:25:41 AM »
Although doors are designed to last for long, there might arise a situation in which the door locks need to be serviced, even replaced. Wear and tear or break-ins are the main reason for the replacement of locks. If you face any door lock issues, try to contact the best company for repair.

My house is quite an old house that was built by my dad. All the bedroom doors are made of teak and the bathroom doors of fiber. As it is winter now, moisture from rain, snow, and ice easily enters the key holder and settles into the nooks and crannies of a lock and gets frozen. At times I find it very difficult to lock the door. How can I unfreeze the door lock? Should I go for door hardware service? Or are there any DIY methods for unfreezing?

Deadbolt locks are the best locks to be installed on teak, i recommend to hire any locksmith and install those locks so that it will help prevent the door lock issue.

If you have keyless entry locks then you need not to worry about security because these locks work fine both in summer and winter but if you have other quality locks then you must call a locksmith to service door locks once in an year to ensure that door is secured. Sandy Locksmith experts have been called by my mother to repair the loose door locks this winter.
